Learn to use the legislative research tools to track bills, sponsors and assigned committees

Now that you have an idea for legislation you are ready to expand coalition partners and individual supporters who can all reach out to their legislators and ask that they support the bill.

While there are many tools available (some free others very costly), the next part of the art of lobbying is choosing the most appropriate tool for the lobby stage you're currently in.

In this course we will explore when to deploy the following:

  • Petition v Direct Email Advocacy
  • Patch-thru calls v Direct calls
  • Have constituents email their legislators v Committee of Jurisdiction
  • Creating sponsored advocacy
